MGSDP Board

The role of the MGSDP board is to provide leadership and direction that will facilitate progress to achieve successful delivery of the MGSDP initiative and relevant associated projects.


Responsibilities include:
1. Ensure agreed objectives and requirements are maintained and adhered to;
2. Ensure the development and approval of an ‘Implementation Plan’;
3. Secure and approve partner funding for the delivery of the Implementation Plan;
4. Monitor and oversee progress and ensure prudent management is implemented; Address resourcing and organisational issues;
5. Approve appointment of consultants/ contractors for shared commissions;
6. Examine and ratify work of the Steering and Technical Groups;
7. Consider/ resolve issues raised by the Steering Group;
8. Secure and approve funding for Implementation  Plan;
9. Secure and approve appropriate delivery mechanism(s) for the Implementation Plan;
10. Receive and consider high-level project reports;
11. Continually develop, maintain and optimise the MGSDP partnership.
12. Inform and influence Scottish Government and Ministers.
