In May, the North Glasgow Integrated Water Management System Project, Glasgow's Smart Canal, won the Sustainable Drainage & Flood Management Initiative of the Year category at the Water Industry Awards - https://waterindustryawards.co.uk/2021-winners/
The judges said "The collaborative working in this project is impressive, and it has delivered multiple wins, including reduced flood risk, pollution and carbon.
Funding for the project has come from a range of sources, with the main elements funded from Glasgow City Region City Deal (http://www.glasgowcityregion.co.uk/) and the European Regional Development Fund (https://www.scottishcities.org.uk/workstreams/smart-cities) via the 'Scotland's 8th City - the Smart City' programme.
